POSITION: IP Job Coach
PAY RATE: $18.50 - $20.50/hour (DOE)
SCHEDULES: WED - SUN 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: To develop, implement, and maintain external employment opportunities for persons served through effective job coaching, use structured intervention techniques to help participants learn to perform work-related activities and understand the specific requirements of the job. Conduct assessments, counseling, advocacy, travel training, and other necessary services. Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and policies, and provide training to staff and participants on safety standards as needed. Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for others (staff, persons served, management, and external parties) during all interactions. Preserve confidentiality regarding persons served, personnel, and Villa Esperanza Services operations; exercise good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:

PROGRAM:
Adult Day Program
POSITION: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
PAY RATE: $32.00 - $36.00
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (35hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a vital link between Direct Care Staff and the Administrator & Registered Nurse, ensuring the provision of direct services to individuals supported within the facility. As a valued member of the Direct Care Staff (DCS), the LVN plays a key role in preparing examination areas, administering treatments, and providing essential client care. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination areas by assembling necessary equipment, instruments, and materials for treatment procedures.
- Record and maintain accurate client information, including height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Offer reassurance and comfort to clients who may be apprehensive about upcoming examinations or treatments.
- Oversee the administration of injections and medical processes in accordance with established protocols.
- Serve as a resource for both staff and clients, offering guidance and making appropriate referrals as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following written procedures and program design.
- Assist with medication management and training modules for staff.
- Support program management in meeting administrative program requirements and evaluating client competencies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid LVN license/certification.
- At least 2 years' experience as an LVN.
- Experience working with the developmentally disabled population is preferred.
- Complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings, and submit proof of vaccination for COVID-19.

PROGRAM:
Independent Living Services (ILS)
POSITION: ILS Skills Instructor
PAY RATE: $18.75 - $19.00/hour
SCHEDULES:
1. 1. Mon - Fri 2:00PM to 6:00PM; Saturdays 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (25 hrs/week)
2. 2. Monday - Thursday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (16 hrs/week
Location: San Gabriel Valley vicinity
DESCRIPTION: Assist in oversight and support for individuals served in the ILS program. The role involves teaching adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible by developing, increasing, or maintaining skills. Responsibilities include assisting participants in various areas such as home and community safety, utilizing public transportation, shopping in the community, self-advocacy, independent recreation and participation, socialization, and interpersonal relationships. Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and policies, and train staff and individuals served regarding safety standards as needed. Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for others (staff, individuals served, management, and external parties) during all interactions. Maintain confidentiality in matters concerning individuals served, personnel, and Villa Esperanza Services operations, exercise good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities. Our Independent Living Skills (ILS) program provides support for developmentally disabled adults, 18 years and older, who seek to maintain a self-sustaining, independent living environment in the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
- Must be willing to drive your own vehicle! (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
- High school or GED Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.
- Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Residential Services
POSITION: Residential Counselor/Direct Support Professional
PAY RATE: $17.00 - $17.50/hour + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULES:
1. 1. Fri 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sat & Sun 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (20 hrs/week)
2. 2. Fri 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sat & Sun 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (24 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Assist program participants with direct care functions for adults with developmental disabilities. Residential counselors strive to foster a home-like environment for residents and ensure they are receiving the best quality of life. Our Residential Program is committed to providing individualized, accessible, affordable housing for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through Villa’s various levels of support and assistance, individuals are reaching their greatest levels of independence—living, working, playing, and being active in their community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or equivalent
- Experience with special needs: 1 year preferred.
- Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance carrier.
- Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Adult Day Program (ADP)
POSITION: ADP Skills Instructor
PAY RATE: $18.00/hour + $1,000 Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (32.5 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: As a Skills Instructor/Skills Coach you will be assisting participants with employment and essential living skills. You will have the opportunity to work with participants and seek opportunities to teach, train, and encourage independence for performing living skills, while offering supervision to participants. Skills Instructors are expected to adhere with all safety standards, regulations and policies.

Our Adult Day Program is designed to develop and maintain an individual's functional, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for successful integration in the community. ADP is an adult day program serving 18 years and older with developmental disabilities who no longer qualify for public school funding.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
Must be willing to drive a company vehicle on a daily basis.
High school or GED Diploma
Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.
Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Non-Public School
POSITION: Instructional Aide
PAY RATE: $18.00/hour + $1,000 Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 6 months of employment)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM (30 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Assist the lead teacher with procedures required in the operation of the class, including providing support in instructing special needs students. Understand and attend to students with special physical, social, or emotional needs. Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and policies, and train staff and individuals served regarding safety standards as needed. Our school offers an educational program serving students from 5 to 22 years old (elementary, middle, and high school classes) who have special needs associated with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual, and other developmental disabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or equivalent
- Experience assisting special needs individuals (Socially Emotional Disturbance (S.E.D.) and/or Behavioral Challenges); 1 year preferred.
- Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (flexible scheduling up to 40 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: As a Skills Instructor/Coach, you will be responsible for picking up and driving up to 3 adults with developmental disabilities on a daily basis and providing the participants with guidance regarding community integration, social recreation/leisure skills, shopping in natural environments, money management, personal health and hygiene, use of community resources, community safety, fun community activities and how to utilize public transportation. Our Community Integration Program (CIP) is a community-based day program designed to meet the needs of adults living with developmental disabilities who have a strong desire to work and would like to continue building their employment related skills through supervised volunteer opportunities, as well as skills building activities.

- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
- Must be willing to drive your own vehicle (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
- Willing to work in the Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, and Simi Valley area.

POSITION: CIP Lead Skills Instructor (WR)
PAY RATE: $21.00 - $22.00/hour + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri 7:30AM to 4:00PM 40 hrs/week (flexible scheduling up to 40 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: As a Lead Staff, you will assist program participants with pre-vocational and other independent living skills; assist program management with supervision of program staff (Skills Instructors) including proper programming for participants. Work with participants and seek opportunities to teach, train, and encourage independence for performing employment and living skills. Cover shifts during absences, call-out’s etc. Adhere to all safety standards, regulations and policies and trains staff and clients regarding safety standards as needed. Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for others (staff, clients, management, and external parties) during all interactions. Maintains confidentiality in matters of participants, personnel, and Villa Esperanza Services operations; exercise good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
