Step into a night of elegance and intrigue with Villa Esperanza Services at our annual Fundraising Gala! This year, we are hosting Villa’s "Masquerade Gala," celebrating Villa's passionate commitment to providing love, care, and hope for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Villa's personalized services, dedicated staff, and continuum of care over the course of a lifetime create a special haven for our children, adults, and seniors.

As part of the evening's festivities, we are pleased to honor Irene Konogeris Albeck, who has been a cornerstone of Villa for over 50 remarkable years. Irene’s journey with us began when her son, Gregory, attended Villa as a young child. Now, 54 years later, he’s a valued participant in our Dimensions day program. Irene has supported Villa just as we’ve supported her and Gregory, and this bond has only grown stronger. She devoted herself to enriching the lives of countless students as a beloved special education teacher at Villa years ago and has been an active member of Villa's Guild for nearly a decade. We are deeply grateful for her unwavering dedication, and it is with great pride that we present her with the Guardian Angel award.

For the past 64 years, Villa Esperanza Services has been proudly serving the community by providing diverse programs for intellectually/developmentally disabled children, adults, and seniors in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Villa is a unique service provider, offering individualized programs and a continuum of care over the course of a lifetime. We change lives-from teaching a child with autism how to say "hello;" to giving an adult with Down syndrome the skills to earn a paycheck and the pride of having a job; to providing an intellectually disabled senior the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering and helping others.

The need for Villa's services are as important as ever. After weathering the pandemic years with a mix of in-person and virtual services for all of our programs, Villa is thrilled to have all programs fully open and in-person. We are delighted to have the students join us back on campus receiving educational and therapeutic services full time. Our adult day programs are thriving with participants enjoying community field trips again as well as fun activities like crafts, games, and more. Our dedicated staff continue to provide care every day for all our adults living in our seven residential homes. In addition, services for individuals in our Independent Living Skills and Employment services are still in progress.

Villa's annual gala raises funds so we can continue this important work. All proceeds support Villa's programs for children, adults, and seniors with special needs. Together, we will ensure that Villa can continue providing love, care, and hope to our children, adults, and seniors, and their families.
