PROGRAM:
Maintenance
POSITION: Maintenance Assistant
PAY RATE: $20.00 - $25.00/hour, DOE.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of building and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Maintenance Supervisor in a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various residential facilities/sites.
- This could include assisting the manager of the department with carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting tasks.
- Repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs and carpets.
- Performs minor troubleshooting with support/supervision, repairs and adjustments of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closets.
- Repairs door hinges; cleans plugged key slots; changes filters in heating, ventilating and air conditioning units.
- Services appliances, kitchen, and emergency equipment; hooks up appliances; reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action.
- Moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; sets up and breaks down cubicle partitions.
- Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person.
- Assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed.
- Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work site.
- It is expected that direct support and training will be provided, as needed, before independent work will be required/expected.
Requirements:
- Must possess a CA Driver License and have 3 years of verifiable driving history, and be willing to drive a company vehicle on a daily basis.
- Physical Requirement: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Dimensions
POSITION: Dimensions Skills Instructor
PAY RATE: $17.75 - $18.00/hour + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULES: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (32.5 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Assist program participants in acquiring basic living skills and work with individuals served to identify opportunities for teaching, training, and fostering independence in performing these skills. Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for others during all interactions with staff, individuals served, management, and external parties. Maintain confidentiality in matters concerning to individuals served, personnel, and Villa Esperanza Services operations; exercise good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities. Our Dimensions Program is designed to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to become active members of their communities. Individuals learn independence and work-related skills through regularly scheduled volunteer work, community projects, and other educational programs. Villa’s programs are designed to help each person reach their greatest potential in all areas of their lives and to be successful in their communities.

PROGRAM:
Independent Living Services (ILS)
POSITION: ILS Skills Instructor
PAY RATE: $18.75 - $19.00/hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULES:
1. Schedule #1: Mon – Fri 3:00PM to 8:00PM (25 hrs/week)
  Location: Temple City, CA
2. Schedule #2: Mon 12:00PM – 5:00PM; Tues 3:00PM – 8:00PM; Wed 2:00PM – 7:00PM; Thurs & Fri 3:00PM – 8:00pm; Sat 11:00AM – 3:00PM (25 – 30 hrs/week)
  Location: San Gabriel Valley vicinity
DESCRIPTION: Assist in oversight and support for individuals served in the ILS program. The role involves teaching adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible by developing, increasing, or maintaining skills. Responsibilities include assisting participants in various areas such as home and community safety, utilizing public transportation, shopping in the community, self-advocacy, independent recreation and participation, socialization, and interpersonal relationships.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
- Must be willing to drive your own vehicle! (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
- High school or GED
- Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.
- Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Residential Services
POSITION: Residential Counselor/Direct Support Professional
PAY RATE: $17.50 - $18.00/hour + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULES:
1. 1. Fri 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sat & Sun 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM (20 hrs/week)
2. 2. Fri 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sat & Sun 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (24 hrs/week)
3. 3. Sat & Sun 2:00PM to 10:00PM (16hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Assist program participants with direct care functions for adults with developmental disabilities. Residential counselors strive to foster a home-like environment for residents and ensure they are receiving the best quality of life. PROGRAM:
Residential Services
POSITION: QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional)
PAY RATE: $30.00 - $35.00/hour (DOE)
SCHEDULE: Mon, Wed, Fri 9:00AM to 3:00PM & Tues, Thurs 9:00AM to 1:00PM (20 hrs - 25 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Oversee client files and the administrative management of files for a residential house. Supervise the development and implementation of each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) by integrating services according to their needs and service plan.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assures the client files are in compliance with all regulations.
- Oversee all aspects of implementation of the Individual Program plan for each client.
- Completes required daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual program documentation and all required reports in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and assure service implementation with outside services through monitoring and progress reviews and attendance at outside IEP/ISP meetings.
- Facilitate client participation in community outings and recreational activities.
- Work with RN in providing for the overall care of each client.
- Provide direct care support assistance when needed.
- Attends and conducts as assigned regularly scheduled facility and agency in-service training.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university.
- Two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance carrier.
- Complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Non-Public School
POSITION: Instructional Aide
PAY RATE: $17.75 - $18.00/hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 6 months of employment)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM (30 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: Assist the lead teacher with procedures required in the operation of the class, including providing support in instructing special needs students. Understand and attend to students with special physical, social, or emotional needs. Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and policies, and train staff and individuals served regarding safety standards as needed. Our school offers an educational program serving students from 5 to 22 years old (elementary, middle, and high school classes) who have special needs associated with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual, and other developmental disabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or equivalent
- Experience assisting special needs individuals (Socially Emotional Disturbance (S.E.D.) and/or Behavioral Challenges); 1 year preferred.
- Final candidates must satisfactorily complete a fingerprinting clearance, physical & TB screenings.

PROGRAM:
Adult Day Program (ADP)
POSITION: ADP Skills Instructor
PAY RATE: $17.75 - $18.00/hour + $1,500 Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULES: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (32.5 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: As a Skills Instructor/Skills Coach you will be assisting participants with employment and essential living skills. You will have the opportunity to work with participants and seek opportunities to teach, train, and encourage independence for performing living skills, while offering supervision to participants. Skills Instructors are expected to adhere with all safety standards, regulations and policies.

Our Adult Day Program is designed to develop and maintain an individual's functional, cognitive, and behavioral skills required for successful integration in the community. ADP is an adult day program serving 18 years and older with developmental disabilities who no longer qualify for public school funding.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history.
- Must be willing to drive a company vehicle on a daily basis.
- High school or GED Diploma.
- Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.

Employment/Student Services (West Region)
POSITION: Skills Instructor II/Job Coach
PAY RATE: $21.00 - $22.00/hour + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus (paid in various increments throughout the first 12 months of employment)
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (flexible scheduling up to 40 hrs/week)
DESCRIPTION: In the role of Skills Instructor II/Job Coach, your responsibilities will include aiding the Program Director and Case Manager/Program Management in executing the DOR Student Services program. This position plays key role in developing and implementing service plans based on the identified vocational needs and interests of the clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License with 3 years of verifiable driving history
- Must be willing to drive your own vehicle (Mileage reimbursement provided twice a month at the IRS approved rate).
- Willing to work in the Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley area.
- Experience assisting special needs individuals; 1 year preferred.
